• Fish and seafood lovers, welcome!

Brockley’s Rock is a Fish Shop with more than just Cod and Chips in mind. We want to provide you with great tasting fish, but in the most ethical and sustainable fashion.

On our menu you will find the expected Chippy food, but you will also find Grilled Seabass and Salmon, Calamari and Grilled prawns. We love our fish, and so why stick to the basics!

We pride ourselves on using sustainable fish, which is why our main fish is line caught. We are also doing our bit towards Hugh Fearners Fish Fight – the revolution against discarded fish.

Mackerel is one of the most sustainable fish, so like Hugh, we are introducing the Mackerel bap. A tasty lightly fried Mackerel, splashed with tar tar sauce in a crusty roll.

    About our Gluten Free food

To ensure that we are looking out for our Coeliac friends here at Brockley’s Rock, we avoid cross contamination by taking the following steps:

    • We are using a gluten free batter
    • A separate pan is used to fry the Gluten Free fish and chips
    • A separate heat cabinet is used for all the Gluten Free fish
    • A separate chip box is used to store the chips
    • Separate utensils are used when handling all the Gluten Free food (e.g. chip scoop and food tongs)

All of our staff are trained and aware of the risks involved with gluten free cross contamination and will take the utmost care when handling gluten free food.

Brockley’s Rock is a Fish & Chip Shop with you in mind.

On our menu you will find the classic Cod and Chips, but you can also choose between Grilled Seabass, Salmon, Calamari and Grilled prawns. We are huge seafood fans at Brockley’s Rock, so we hate to be predictable.

We also understand just how important our world is, so in doing our bit we guarantee to provide you with sustainable and ethically caught fish, which is why the main fish we serve is all line caught. We are also proud supporters of Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s Fish Fight – the campaign to Save Our Seas. Mackerel is one of the most sustainable fish, so like Hugh, we introduced the Mackerel bap. A tasty lightly fried Mackerel, splashed with tar tar sauce in a crusty roll. Calamari is also very sustainable; as a fast-growing species, its populations can handle a high amount of fishing pressure, making it guilt-free as well as delicious.

It’s not just the oceans that we care about; we are also concerned with what happens on-land. This is why we use only biodegradable packaging, such as paper bags and boxes. But not only are they recyclable, they also look after your food, keeping it intact, crispy and warm longer so that when you arrive home, your meal is just as fresh as when you left.

Because we believe our fish is just so tasty, we hate the thought of anyone missing out. This is why we’ve introduced Gluten Free Night every Tuesday from 4-10pm. Our Coeliac friendly Fish & Chips have become so popular we even added gluten free deserts so you can really make a meal out of it.
